On Wednesday, June 22, Tukuma Arctica sailed from the Port of Aalborg for the last time in regular service.
This was marked with a thanksgiving to Aalborg Municipality and the Port of Aalborg, with speeches from the Chairman of Naalakkersuisut Múte Bourup Egede, the Mayor of Aalborg Municipality, Thomas Kastrup-Larsen, Chairman of the Board of Port of Aalborg Lasse Frimand Jensen and CEO of Royal Arctic Line Verner Hammeken followed by a gift presentation.
The event was attended by partners, customers and employees of Royal Arctic Line and although there was some sadness, it was agreed that the end of this collaboration also creates new opportunities for both parties.
The event ended with Tukuma Arcticas last sailing from the Port of Aalborg.
