Today, Royal Arctic Line has received the settlement ship Tilioq Arctica as the last ship in the extensive newbuilding program that started in 2017.

The settlement ship Tilioq Arctica is designed for the settlement shipping in Greenland as we know from Angaju, Aqqaluk and Anguteq Ittuk.
The ship is equipped with newer technology and a modern engine with better fuel economy, and stern tubes without oil, with a special type of composite that will be cooled by sea water.
The new ship also gives the crew of 6 people better conditions on board, for example with private toilet and shower in their own chamber.

“We are proud to have reached the finish line with ship no. 6 within 2 years. Such a large replacement of the fleet in such a short time has required a lot of resources and flexibility from everyone involved.
We look forward to taking the ships into service, ships that Greenland can enjoy for many years to come,” says Head of fleet management at Royal Arctic Line, Anders Bay Larsen.

Tilioq Arctica will be named in Narsaq in August.
