To ensure a more timely arrival in Greenland, Royal Arctic Line has entered into a dialog with its Icelandic VSA partner, Eimskip, to adjust the Atlantic route served by Tukuma Arctica.

A reorganization of the sailing route is underway, which will allow Tukuma Arctica to sail to more ports in the future.

The re-routing will also lead to a more environmentally friendly profile, as the new route will give the Atlantic ship more time at sea, allowing it to sail slower and thus save fuel.

Letters have just been sent to a number of the company’s largest import and export customers, as well as the Greenland Business Association, to get customer and stakeholder perspectives on this change.

In mid-August, an open webinar will be held where interested customers and organizations from all over the country will have the opportunity to gain insight and contribute with observations on the possible solutions.
The aim is to improve arrivals to Nuuk so that Friday morning becomes the rule rather than the exception. This will provide better service to all of Greenland as well as necessary savings in the operation for the benefit of all.
