The Board of Directors of Royal Arctic Line has therefore decided to expand the company’s Executive Board to include the entire management team from January 1, 2022.
For the past 6 years, the company’s management has worked hard to bring freight traffic to and from Greenland into an open network. This is now a physical reality. Now it is time to make use of this open network and the opportunities it creates for Greenlandic imports and exports, and this requires a high level of cooperation, efficiency and optimization. The world is changing faster and faster, and the considerations companies have to make in relation to the development are increasing day by day, and the risk picture is increasing accordingly.
One of the ways to address this is to ensure good diversity in senior management.
The new members of the Executive Board are as follows:
- Director of Ship Operations: Anders Bay Larsen
- Group HR Director/CHRO Bebiane Boye Hansen
- Commercial Director/CCO Niels Clemensen
-
Operations Director/COO Ivalu Kleist
From January 1, 2022, the 4 newly appointed directors will be part of the full Executive Board together with
- CFO/CFO Peter Christoffersen
- Deputy CEO Aviâja Lyberth Lennert
- CEO Verner Hammeken
“Expanding the Executive Board is a very good development. With the day-to-day management in the formal Executive Board, we have continuity in the management team, which can support and be accountable for the long-term nature of our decisions. We can better ensure the big picture by removing a layer between management and employees, and achieve a more effective group dynamic in the Executive Board, especially when this group is as diverse as it is, both in terms of age/experience, gender and background, but also in subject area” says Verner Hammeken.
Chairman of the Board Ulrik Blidorf says: “The Board of Directors decided to expand the Executive Board to strengthen the company for the future tasks the company will face on an open network. The management will not change in terms of numbers and people, but the change will have a major impact on the company’s ability to continue the good development we see. The entire board looks forward to working with the new management team” .
