Taitsiannguaq Olsen will take up the position as CEO of Arctic Umiaq Line on July 1, 2024.
Taitsiannguaq’s most important task will be, together with the Government of Greenland, to ensure a clarification of Arctic Umiaq Line’s future role in seagoing passenger traffic in Greenland.
Arctic Umiaq Line currently has a service agreement with the Government of Greenland, a service agreement that expires at the end of 2025.
Taitsiannguaq Olsen is a familiar face in Royal Arctic Line, where he has previously been employed for 25 years. He has strong maritime and operational experience and the board of Arctic Umiaq Line looks forward to the collaboration.
Taitsiannguaq Olsen replaces Jens Jakob Sandgreen, who was CEO of the company in the period 2022-2024.
